Jars to Go

I am so excited to tell you about a new product I’m introducing today!  Canning jars are popular right now, with good reason.  They are inexpensive, sold by the dozen, seal well, dishwasher-safe, and the glass is BPA-free and microwaveable.  Do a Google search, and you’ll see scads of examples of people packing salads and baking desserts in them, not to mention the obvious choices of soup, salad, chili, casseroles, and drinks.  (Have you seen the Cuppow lid??)  So I thought, why not create a bag designed to bring a lunch in these wonderful containers?

Sooooo…  Here’s the Jars to Go bag!

It is a tote bag sized for two jars, with sleeves to help hold the jars upright.  It is underlined with fleece to cushion the glass.  It will hold a standard or wide-mouth jar.  And if you’d rather bring a sandwich or something other than a jar, the sleeves fold out of the way.  Of course, it will also hold commercially canned soup or entrees, and bottled drinks.

I am offering both the finished bags and the pattern to make your own bag in my Etsy shop.
